Course Description
This course is designed to help GMVS teachers gain all the necessary knowledge and expertise required to develop effective online classroom portals utilizing the edu2.0 learning management system. The course will also expose students to various other web 2.0 tools proven to be highly useful to 21st century educators.

Course Objectives
All students will:
- Establish an edu2.0 account as a teacher at GMVS
- Create an edu2.0 portal for each of their upcoming classes
- Become acquainted with the all of the available features of the edu2.0 learning management system (LMS)
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of the following edu2.0 features:
- Discussion Board Forum
- Quiz/Test Maker
- Freeform Response Assignments
- Edu2.0 Gradebook
- Ways to communicate with students, parents, co-workers and administrators.
- Lesson creation and adding resources
- Calendar
- Chat Room, Wikis, & Blogs
- Attendance Keeping
- Setting Policies, Copying & Archiving Classes and/or Assignments

Monday
1) Introductions (Me: 5 years teaching online courses at CCV using Blackboard software, currently half-time Social Studies teacher and half-time tech integration specialist at Harwood Union High School)
2) Course Overview, Expectations & Protocols
- Go over agenda
- Gather in workgroups of 3
- Discuss protocol for time-keeping, tangents, questions, etc.
- Please use the discussion forum to ask questions that might come up during or after our sessions. By making these questions public we can all benefit.
